Macau (conventional Chinese: 澳門 simplified Chinese: 澳门) is a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People’s Republic of China. Located across the Pearl River estuary from Hong Kong, Macao was till 1999 a far off territory of Portuguese Republic. One of the world’s maximum densely populated spots, Macau generates greater revenue from gambling than everywhere else at the planet, including more than seven instances the sales generated by “The Strip” in Las Vegas.
